CEDAR MOUNTAIN NEWS FOR THURSDAY 6-8-17

CMCC BOARD MEETING

All board members are urged to attend the board meeting on 6-8-17 at 1 PM. Please note time change. Next meeting July 6th at the regular time.

MAGAH CHAPEL SING-A-LONG

The sing-a-long was well attended last Saturday despite an earlier storm. We were able to enjoy watermelon on the grounds after we sang songs from over one hundred years ago in the beautiful McGaha Chapel.

SNACKS & A MOVIE JUNE 11TH

Bring your favorite finger food to share and come enjoy a free movie in the comfort of Rocky Hill Baptist Church's main sanctuary on Sunday evening June 11th; the movie starts at 6:00pm so come a little early. The movie being shown is "Risen", which depicts the Resurrection and events following, in the eyes of a Roman soldier. For more information call Dr. Leland Holland at Rocky Hill, at (828)862-5611.

TALENT NIGHT JUNE 12TH

We have a few new acts this year at our annual community Talent Night, held at the Cedar Mountain Community Center. Please bring a covered dish to share by 6:15pm on Monday June 12th so we can all eat at 6:30pm. Then be prepared for a fest of fun and awe shortly after 7:00pm. There's still room for you! For more information please email Christine Pace at chris_p_artist@yahoo.com or call 885-2103 after 5 pm. See you there!

AROUND THE HOUSE

Although I love my cabin I am ready to roll out into the world on my own. Watching my garden grow from the sun room is nice but it needs tending to. I have reached a120 degree flexion with my knee which is a “passing” grade so by the time you read this I could be on the road again. Halleluiah!

What’s happening with you or in the community? We’d love to hear what’s going on, if you would like to share. Please email your news to cedarmountainnews@gmail.com by noon on Monday this week.
