CANCELLATIONS
Due to Covid-19 concerns the Janie and Solomon Jones family reunion scheduled for July 4 has been cancelled.
Faith Chapel Trustees have decided that the chapel will be closed for the season for Sunday worshiping but available if anyone would like to stop in, at anytime, for personal prayer.
Due to the epidemic, there will be no "Vacation Bible School" at Rocky Hill Baptist Church,
The 10th annual "Mountain Gourd Gathering" held at the Family Life Center is canceled. Hopefully, all will be back to normal in 2021.
Sherwood Forest Friends has cancelled our programs for June and July. We are still holding out hope for August 22nd’s Michael Reno Harrell to entertain, but we will make a decision closer to that time. Please enjoy the information we have posted to our website, www.sherwoodforestfriends.org.
BLOOD DRIVE - JUNE 20TH
There will be a blood Drive on Saturday, June 20 from 8:30a – 1:30p at the Cedar Mountain fire station. We had a tremendous turnout for the last blood drive. A big thank you to all donors. Let’s do that again! There is always a need for blood - now more than ever. Future blood drive dates are Aug 22nd, Oct 24th, and Dec 19th.
CEDAR MOUNTAIN SMALL AREA PLANNING
The Cedar Mountain Small Area Planning Committee Meeting will be meeting June 23rd at 6pm at the Commissioners Chambers at 101 S Broad St, Brevard, NC.
CONNESTEE ART LEAGUE
Connestee Art League’s annual Art in the Park will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is our 16th annual summer festival. The festival will again be held on the property of the Brevard Elementary School. Art in the Park benefits arts programs for children and adults in the Brevard Community. It is one of the League's annual fundraisers.
We are expecting about 40 local artists this year, some of them new to this event. Come on down and enjoy the day and help us support the arts!
