CEDAR MOUNTAIN ROUND-A-BOUT NEWS
Intersection construction has temporarily limited or blocked access to the front parking spots at the Cedar Mountain Café. Please feel free to park across the street in the Cedar Mountain Moonshine parking lot!
The new entrance to the distillery is conveniently located directly across from the café, making it easy to park and dine while construction continues. Thanks for continuing to support our Cedar Mountain businesses!
CEDAR MOUNTAIN ROTARY CLUB Submitted by Cathy Haupert
I hope everyone has been able to enjoy the beautiful sunny fall days. Although a few degrees warmer would have suited me more but still nice to see the sun shining on the colorful leaves.
The next meeting of the Cedar Mountain Rotary Club will be on November 2nd at 5:30 pm. The meeting location has been moved to the Cedar Mountain Fire/Rescue, 8725 Cascade Lake Rd Cedar Mountain, due to the Cedar Mountain Community Center being utilized for voting. The speaker will be Rebecca Suddeth, program director of the Transylvania Heritage Museum. The beginning of the mission statement of the museum states, “The mission of the Transylvania Heritage Museum is to protect the heritage of Transylvania County”. There is more to the mission statement which Rebecca will be able to share along with additional information about the Museum.

AROUND THE HOUSE by Linda Packer Young
At last our front porch is free of unneeded items. Habitat picked it all up last week. We sincerely hope those items will make someone else very happy.
Our sun room has become a dining room now. It will be first used for guests on Thanksgiving Day. All the plants that lived there are now gracing the great room windows. I had put nearly every one of them outdoors for the summer and they flourished. Both Christmas cactuses have buds on them that they hadn't produced in years and a succulent that was nothing but a stick is nearly 3 feet tall with branches. Mother Nature did a good job.
