2023 CEDAR MOUNTAIN HISTORICAL CALENDARS
The 2023 calendars again feature a historic theme for $15.00 and are available at The Hiker and the Hound, Cedar Mountain Canteen, Studio 276, Cedar Mountain Café and the Cedar Mountain Outpost. Proceeds benefit the Cedar Mountain Community Center.

SILENT AUCTION MONDAY 8-8-22
The Silent Auction will start at 6 pm and end at 7:30 pm. All proceeds from the auction go to the CMCC Scholarship Fund.
POTLUCK
Please have your dish to share on the serving table by 6:15 pm so we can begin eating at 6:30 pm. The silent auction will be open during this time until 7:30 pm when auction winners will be announced.
The new 2023 calendars will also be available for purchase.
FAITH MEMORIAL CHAPEL
Faith Memorial Chapel welcomes folks of all denominations to our services, held on Sundays at 11:00 AM. We meet only in the summer and have no membership roll, so you won’t feel like a guest. Each Sunday, we have clergy from different churches that visit us to lead the service and we are blessed to also have great music to accompany the great message! This Sunday, Faith Memorial Chapel welcomes The Rev. Jennifer Fouse Sheorn. Jennifer was called to serve as the Pastor and Director of Triune Mercy Center in July 2020. A graduate of Presbyterian College and Columbia Theological Seminary, Jennifer is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Stephen Wally will provide wonderful selections of music.
SHERWOOD FOREST LADIES GOLF LEAGUE
Results for July 18: We had a record turnout on Monday as 23 women played the back 9 in an odd-holes game. Three women tied with a score of 15: Nancy Shoemaker, Roz Banks and Karen Gleasman. In a score-card playoff, Banks and Gleasman were declared winners as their scores on each of the four holes were the same. Low gross: Georgia Osterc with 32. Low net: Karen Gleasman with 27. Join us next week when we play the front nine. Sign in at 8:30 a.m. Shotgun start at 9.
HOMECOMING Rocky Hill Baptist Church will hold their “Homecoming” the 4th Sunday in August; August 28th. Homecoming starts at 10:30 that morning (no Sunday school that day) followed by a covered dish lunch. Everyone is invited! LEAK
Early this afternoon I went down to the basement and discovered water dripping profusely from the plumbing. Yikes. Good thing this didn’t happen when we were gone. I had to turn off water fast. My honey grabbed the water vac and started sucking up the water. I haven’t heard back from the plumbers and it’s evening now.
SURPRISE
They say that when the cats away the mice will play. Well in this situation apparently, the deer had heard we were gone. We came home from our trip and found that most of our ornamental plants had been chewed down to stubs. They nailed the neighbors too. My closest neighbor said they even came up on her deck to eat her plants. I belatedly reattached some fencing that would have prevented some of this feast.
