AROUND THE HOUSE by Linda Packer Young
What week it has been. We picked up our motor home, The Infirmary, on Monday in Winston-Salem, NC after what seemed like hours of “lessons” on what button does what. There were a couple of minor adjustments made and then we were off. We took turns driving it home. I drove it until the first rest stop and then my honey drove it to the next rest stop. After that one exchange, I drove it the rest of the way home without incident. However, coming down our narrow subdivision road I apparently scraped a bush that caused some “rub” marks on the right side. My honey says a little rubbing compound will remove it. My job will be to track down the offending bush and trim it back so that doesn’t happen again.
Now we will have to make it a “home”. My honey already got some plastic glasses and I found some colorful dish towels for it. I am beginning to see why they call these a money pit. The same goes for other “toys” though. We can’t wait for our first excursion.
TWOSDAY
When you write it, 2/22/22, it's a palindrome, meaning it reads the same forward and backward. It also falls on a Tuesday, which is now referred to as Twos day. If you consider 10:22 pm in military time that is 22:22. It could be 2-22-22, 2:22:22, 22:22:22. Am I right? Scratching head.
