PLANT SALE

The Transylvania Master Gardeners Annual Spring Plant Sale will be on Saturday, May 8th at the Brevard Ingles Parking lot from 8 am to noon. Native Pollinator-Friendly perennials and shrubs will be featured from the Carolina Native Nursery. There will also be shrubs, trees, perennials, and annuals from local gardens available for purchase.

This plant sale is hosted by Extension Master Gardeners, Transylvania Garden Club, and the Transylvania Heritage Museum. For more information please call 828-884-3109.

SHERWOOD LADIES GOLF LEAGUE

Sherwood Ladies golf league results for April 26: 18 women played the back nine in a game of Two Best Balls. The winning team with a score of 67 was Charlotte Albright, Lois Bollini, Diane Hodson, and Louise Stroup. Low net: Joy Seelinger with 22. Low gross: Diane Hodson with 35.

CEDAR MOUNTAIN SPRING VENDOR MARKET AT STUDIO276

Come enjoy the day on Saturday May 1st from 11-3 pm. This family-friendly event features talented local vendors, live music, moonshine tastings from Cedar Mtn Moonshine, and more!

MUSIC & MOONSHINE NIGHTS ARE BACK AT STUDIO276!

Starting in May there will be local musicians performing every Friday night from 6-8 pm. BBQ is on the menu, cold beers will be on ice, along with some new flavors from Cedar Mtn Moonshine to taste! AROUND THE HOUSE by Linda Young

I was away from the house for a few days and was amazed at how fast my plants shot up while I was gone. They are lush and gorgeous. I can thank the rain for that. Water from a hose perks them up but when nature provides a good rain it really makes a difference.
