CEDAR MOUNTAIN ROTARY CLUB by Cathy Haupert

It is almost hard to believe that our next Cedar Mountain Rotary Club meeting is on March 2nd. We hope those daffodils that are starting to bloom aren’t wrong and Spring will be here soon. Since the TC Primary Election is on March 3rd they need the Cedar Mountain Community Center for setup on March 2nd. So we are moving the meeting on March 2nd at 5:30 pm down the road to The Cedar Mountain Fire and Rescue 8725 Cascade Lake Road Cedar Mountain. Please park in the back of the Fire Station.

The speaker at our meeting is Lynn Bartosh. Lynn is a Master Gardener who will be telling us about Pollinators. These aren’t only the bees and butterflies and they are probably more important to us than you think. A potluck meal will follow the meeting. You can contact Cathy Haupert

607-280-0889 if you have questions.

AROUND THE HOUSE by Linda Packer Young

My honey gifted me a new IPhone for Christmas and now it’s February.  His attempts to activate it and transfer data from the old one failed miserably.  So we were off to Greenville, SC to the Apple Store at the Haywood Mall on Monday afternoon.  Attempts to contact Apple by phone had been useless.    Not knowing where in the mall it was located we inadvertently parked on the opposite side of the mall from the store location and at the upper level.  It took a lot of walking and getting directions in order to finally get to the lower level.  Then there was the issue of the escalators.  We both walk with canes and have balance issues so no escalators for us.  We eventually found an elevator that worked and were finally able to find the Apple Store.  Thanks to “phone tech” Gary, the phone situation was finally resolved. What an ordeal it was. Whew.
