HUNGER COALITION FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Come to the Cedar Mountain Community Center on Thursday June 19 from 2:30 pm-4:00 pm.  Free food to all comers - no questions asked.  They usually have fresh produce, canned goods, frozen meat and many other items to share.  Please bring your own bags or boxes for items you select.

SHERWOOD FOREST MEN’S SPRING GOLF LEAGUE

The league wrapped up Wednesday, June 11 with a picnic and awards presentation.  Pictured are season winners (from left to right) Tim Johnston 2nd, Kurt Knabe 1st, and Mike Brann 3rd.

Our Men’s Golf league is structured for all levels of play.  Anyone is welcome to come out and give us a try on Wednesday mornings @ 9:30am, or inquire anytime for details at the Sherwood Forest Golf Pro Shop.

FAITH MEMORIAL CHAPEL welcomes folks of all denominations to our services, held on Sundays at 11:00 AM.  We meet only in the summer and have no membership roll, so you won’t feel like a guest.  Each Sunday, we have clergy from different churches that visit us to lead the service and we are blessed to also have great music to accompany the great message!

On June 22nd, we welcome The Rev. Toni Pate. Toni is the Pastor of Trinity Church of Greenville, her beloved inter-denominational flock. 

Music this Sunday will be provided by Katie Stuckey and Margaret Templeton, granddaughters of Barbara Stuckey who was our wonderful organist for many years.

Interesting day, Tuesday.  Our new dishwasher was finally delivered 2 weeks past the projected delivery date.  It was to include the installation package that we paid for but didn’t get.  Lowes said it was to be delivered with the dishwasher but the crew didn’t have it.  This required a trip to town to get a replacement.  We hired our favorite helper to take the old one out on Monday and install the new one when it came.  He took it out but can’t install it probably till next Sunday.  Bleh.
