Scholarship Application: George H.V. Cecil Journey Scholarship 2022

Dear Community Leaders, It is an honor for WNC Communities to offer The George H.V. Cecil Journey Scholarship to youth in our communities preparing to enter college. Last year, $13,500 in scholarships was awarded to 11 deserving youth continuing their education. The Scholarship Application has been emailed to the high school guidance counselors of the schools that are in or closest to your community. In addition, I ask you to please share this application with the students in your community preparing to attend a 2 or 4 year college. The criteria for the scholarship application is listed on page two. The deadline for the completed applications to be submitted is Monday, March 21, 2022. Please familiarize yourself with the application, particularly the “Community Confirmation” section. This is where a community officer needs to sign the application to confirm that the applicant lives or participates in your community, or that their application is supported by your community.
